OBSIDIAN SOLAR CENTER
The Obsidian Solar Center is an innovative renewable energy facility at the forefront of solar project development in the Pacific Northwest. The Center's 400-MW project is designed to minimize land and resource impacts by siting on low-quality grazing land near existing transmission infrastructure — an approach that respects the region’s natural and cultural resources and rural communities while providing low cost solar energy to replace coal plant retirements.
